Following more than two and a half years of consumer research, this site was developed in 1998 by VHA Inc., a nationwide information and services network of more than 2,200 leading community-owned healthcare organizations and their affiliated physicians.

The research revealed that consumers want convenient, credible, and easy-to-understand health and medical information, and they want to play a greater role in the healthcare services provided to them and their families. This site answers these needs by providing consumers with a comprehensive, one-stop source of reliable, current health information that can be accessed through this Web site.

Originally named “LaurusHealth.com,” the site was transitioned to Healthvision, a strategic partner of VHA’s, in 2003. Healthvision provides the health content found on this site to local hospitals, so that consumers and patients can find the information they need from a source they know and trust... their local healthcare provider. Renamed “YourHealthInformation.com” in 2005, this site continues to be a source of credible, reliable and up-to-date health information.
